Google has announced yet another update to the way in which it ranks websites. The SEO community is calling it "BERT", which stands for "Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers". Many are saying that this could represent the biggest update in years. In a nutshell, BERT seeks to better understand Google searchers' sentences by focusing more on the subtleties of sentences that users type into Google (or speak into Google, which is becoming more and more prevalent). Google will be looking more at prepositions such as "for" and "to" in sentences in order to better interpret clients' intents.
